CITY OF MARYSVILLE PROJECTS
1st Street Low Impact Development Project
Construction began in November 2017 on 1st Street, between Cedar Avenue and State Avenue and will be completed in late February 2018.This project is funded in part by the Washington State Department of Ecology Grant Program. The purpose of the project is to provide for an improvement in water quality treatment and stormwater runoff. Currently the stormwater flows to Ebey Slough without water quality treatment. This project will provide stormwater treatment and infiltration by means of bioretention facilities. This project will also replace approximately 775 linear feet of aging cast iron water main (1954). This main was in direct conflict with the proposed drainage improvements so it had to be moved to complete the project.
Effective February 6th,the contractor, SRV, will be detouring eastbound traffic around the 1st St LID project for the next two to three weeks, weather depending. The City has allowed SRV to instate the detour plan for safety and to expedite completion of this work. If possible, the detour is planned to be utilized only during work days and working hours.
