Waterfront Revitalization

As a logging town dependent on steamboats traveling through Ebey Slough to move both people and goods in the late 1800s, Marysville's first homes and businesses were built along the waterfront. For nearly a century, our community's commercial base depended on the lumber mills and maritime businesses in and around the marina.

After the mills closed, the marina district was largely neglected.  The City's vision is to reclaim this valuable property and attract new businesses and recreational opportunities, bringing vibrant activity back to the waterfront.  This vision honors Marysville's historic roots in a way that is relevant and exciting today.
