Merrysville for the Holidays returns Dec. 3

Electric Lights Parade, free family celebration with Santa & Mrs. Claus

The City of Marysville invites you and your family to enjoy a winter wonderland of holiday fun, food, music and a parade of lights Saturday, Dec. 3. This 28th annual Merrysville for the Holidays event begins at 5 p.m. at Comeford Park, 514 Delta Ave.

5 p.m.
• Winter Wonderland family activities
• Outdoor holiday craft show
• Holiday photo booths
• Community bonfire

Participants and vendors include the Tulalip Lions, Marysville Kiwanis, Ivar’s Seafood Restaurant, Marysville Dog Owners Group (M-DOG), Marysville Historical Society, Salvation Army, Girl Scouts of Western Washington, Camp Fire of Snohomish County, and local craft vendors.

6:30 p.m.
• Electric Lights Parade

Features a procession of vehicles, floats and walking groups decked out in their finest holiday lights. Look for special guests Santa and Mrs. Claus arriving by fire truck! Parade participants make their way along State Avenue starting at the Municipal Court (1015 State Ave.) and arrive at the festival center in Comeford Park. Applications for parade entries are online at http://wa-marysville2.civicplus.com/689/Merrysville-for-the-Holidays and are being accepted until Monday, Nov. 21.

7 p.m. (time approximate, following parade)
• Water tower lighting officially kicks off Marysville’s holiday season
• Live holiday music by Soulevard in the Rotary Pavilion

Bring a camera for photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus and family photo scenes throughout the park. Donations of non-perishable food items and new, unwrapped toys and gifts for the Marysville Community Food Bank will be accepted throughout the evening. Special thanks to Grandview Village for sponsoring the live music.
