Berg has a 23-year career in local government. She comes to Marysville from the City of Stanwood, where she was Finance Director/City Clerk. Until late 2015 she was with the City of Lake Stevens for 18 years, where she was hired as Finance Director and promoted to City Administrator. Prior to that she was Assistant Finance Director for the City of Marysville.

“Jan’s background and history with Marysville makes her the best candidate,” Finance Director Sandy Langdon said. “She has the ability to hit the ground running.”

Berg earned a BA in Business Administration from Central Washington University.
